Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are in addition to her numerous. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she participates in Passover seders.
